Do your students know that cyber bullying is a crime? I have confidence that schools are working to eliminate the threats of cyber bullying by imposing some restrictions on unnecessary use of such devices within the boundaries of school. I do not have confidence that teachers have the tools to help students understand how important this subject is. The lesson for avoiding cyber-crimes might not be included in the textbook but it is an implied objective of most computer and IT text. None of us want our student’s to labeled criminals and cyber bully’s. We need to teach our students to avoid these things at home, school and the workplace. By providing them the information they need to define what would place those labels on them. We also need to show them the drawbacks and consequences of this type of activity.
